My first post...

So this is my first post on this blog, so I'll try to make it as informative as possible. First off, I wanted to tell everyone about the areas that are a favorites of mine to go 4-wheeling thats close to home but just challenging enought ot make it worth while. 5-Mile-Pass is one of the top favorites thats within 20-25 mins or so and offers a wide varity of 4wheeling. Two improtant trails come to mind that are pretty well known...Rattlesnake and Constrictor. Most stock vehicles with a sound driver can accomplish Rattlesake which is a 3 out of 5 rating on difficulty. Constrictor is a considered a 5 and two differential lockers with a winch is required if you want to tackle this trail as it is very technically demanding, especially in a full-size rig like my Blazer. A lesser known route outside of 5-mile is the drive up the face of Lake Mountain to the TV towers. Hopefully the end of this week I can get a four-wheeling party with some of my coworkers and friends to "try" this route in the winter with the snow geting deeper as the elevation increases. I'll keep everyone informed as to how it turns out and the ultimate question...if we were able to make it all the way to the top or not...
